Privacy Policy
Version 1.1, updated on July 28, 2026.
This Policy explains how Fouvia Studio handles personal data, in compliance with Brazilian Law No. 13,709/2018 (LGPD).
The rule that guides the product is simple: what you record stays on your computer. We process only the data needed to keep your account, your subscription and the application running.
This is a translation for convenience. The binding version of this document is the Portuguese one, published at https://fouvia.com/privacidade. In case of any divergence, the Portuguese text prevails.
1. Controller and data protection officer
The data controller is the operation responsible for Fouvia Studio, which defines the purposes and the means of the processing described in this Policy.
The officer responsible for personal data processing can be reached at privacidade@fouvia.com, the same channel used for the requests covered in section 8.
2. Data we process
Account data: email address and password in encrypted form, used to create and authenticate your account.
Subscription data: customer and subscription identifiers, plan status, period end date and billing history. Card data is collected and stored directly by Stripe. We neither receive nor keep the card number, expiry date or security code.
Technical and diagnostic data: application version, operating system and error messages, when needed to investigate failures.
Content sent voluntarily: when you use transcription or automatic captions, the corresponding audio is sent for processing and returned as text. It is only sent when you trigger the feature.
3. What we do not collect
We do not send, store or access your screen, camera or audio recordings. Those files stay only on your device, in the application folder, under your control.
We do not use your content to train artificial intelligence models.
We do not sell personal data and do not share it with third parties for advertising.
We do not capture what appears on your screen outside a recording started by you.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Creating and keeping your account, unlocking plan features and providing support: performance of a contract (LGPD, art. 7, V).
Processing payments, issuing charges and preventing fraud: performance of a contract and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations (art. 7, II and V).
Fixing defects, ensuring security and improving the application: legitimate interest (art. 7, IX), always with an assessment of the impact on your rights.
Processing audio in artificial intelligence features: performance of a contract upon your express request (art. 7, V).
Sending communications about price, terms or functionality changes: compliance with contractual and legal obligations.
5. Sharing with processors
Stripe, for payment processing and subscription management.
Supabase, for authentication, database and server function execution.
An automatic transcription provider, when you use captions or silence removal, limited to the audio sent in that operation.
Public authorities, where there is a legal request, court order or regulatory obligation.
Each processor handles data only under our instructions and within the limits of this Policy.
6. International transfers
Some processors keep servers outside Brazil. In those cases, the transfer relies on the grounds in article 33 of the LGPD, with contractual clauses and protection guarantees equivalent to those set out in Brazilian law.
7. Retention period
Account data is kept for as long as the account exists.
Billing data is kept for the period required by tax and civil law, counted from the end of the relationship.
Audio sent for transcription is processed transiently and is not retained by us after the text is returned.
Once the purpose ends, data is deleted or anonymized, except where retention is required by law or necessary for the regular exercise of rights.
8. Your rights
You may request, at any time: confirmation that processing exists; access to the data; correction of incomplete or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in breach of the law; portability; information about sharing; information about the possibility of withholding consent and its consequences; withdrawal of consent; and objection to processing based on legitimate interest.
Requests must be sent to privacidade@fouvia.com and will be answered within the deadlines set by the LGPD. We may ask for additional information to confirm your identity before responding.
You may also file a petition with the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority.
9. Security
We adopt technical and administrative measures to protect data, including encryption in transit, credential-based access control, segregation of service keys and logging of sensitive operations.
No system is entirely immune. In case of a security incident with relevant risk to data subjects, we will notify those affected and the National Data Protection Authority within the legal deadlines.
10. Data of children and teenagers
The application is not intended for people under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children and teenagers. If such processing is identified, the data will be deleted.
11. The fouvia.com website
The site uses no advertising cookies, does no profiling and shares no data with ad networks. There is also no cross-site tracking.
Local storage: when you sign in to your account, we keep the session identifiers in your browser so you do not have to type your password on every visit. We also keep your choice about the measurement described below. These items live in your browser and can be deleted at any time through its settings.
Download measurement: when someone clicks a button that downloads the installer, we log the click to know how many people download the application and for which systems. If you accept the measurement, the log includes the IP address, the city and the state derived from it, and the browser and operating system reported by your own browser. The legal basis is your consent (LGPD, art. 7, I).
If you decline, the download is still counted, but anonymously: no IP address, no location and no browser data. Only the record that a download happened remains, which does not allow anyone to be identified. While you have not chosen, the anonymous mode applies.
You can change your mind whenever you like, through the "Cookies and measurement" link in the site footer.
These records are stored in Supabase, are accessible only to the Fouvia Studio operation and are used solely to understand product adoption. They do not feed advertising and are not sold.
12. Changes to this Policy
This Policy may be updated. The version in force is available inside the application and at https://fouvia.com. Relevant changes will be communicated before taking effect.
