Install the Chrome extension

Where to install it, how to pin it, and what it needs in order to work.

Demo recording happens inside the browser, through the extension. It works on Chrome and on the browsers built on it, such as Edge, Brave, Arc and Opera.

  1. Install the extensionFrom the Chrome store, through the install button on the Fouvia site.
  2. Pin the icon to the toolbarClick the puzzle piece next to the address bar, then the pin beside Fouvia. Without pinning, you have to open that menu every time.
  3. Sign in to the extensionThe first click shows the Sign in screen. Use the same account as fouvia.studio.
  4. Open the tab you are going to recordThe extension records the tab you are on. Have your product open and already signed in before you start.

The diagnostic

Under More options there is a Diagnostics row. It checks end to end what the extension needs: account, tab, window size, editor and video capture. It is the first place to look when something will not start.
