Camera and microphone

The live webcam bubble, your voice track, and what can still change later.

With the camera on, you show up live in a floating bubble before recording even starts. That is how you check framing and lighting without recording anything.

Shape · Size

Hover the bubble and the controls appear: round or square shape, and size.
  • Drag the bubble anywhere on screen.
  • Hover it to switch between round and square and to change the size.
  • While recording, the bubble is still draggable, and every move is logged so it can be replayed in the final video if you want.

None of it is final

Position, size, shape, rounded corners, mirroring, even hiding the camera entirely, are editor decisions, not recording decisions. Record with the bubble wherever it is comfortable and sort it out later in the Camera module.

Microphone

The microphone is recorded on its own track, separate from the video. That is what lets you work on the voice alone in the editor: volume, equalizer, noise removal and normalization, with no need to re-encode the video.

Your system default device is already selected, and the picker next to the icon lists the others. If you are not narrating, turn the microphone off: an empty track only gets in the way in the editor.
