Text, shapes, blur and highlight

The Effects module gathers everything that sits over the recording. Each element becomes a block on the timeline, so timing and length are set by dragging, like any other clip.

Text

Title, subtitle and description, with font, size, color, a background box with padding and corners, a border, and entrance and exit animations. The text shows over the video and gets a block on the Text track.

Shapes

Rectangle, circle and arrow, filled or outlined. Resize freely on the stage, hold Shift to lock the ratio, and use the purple handle to rotate.

Blur

A box that blurs whatever is under it: an email address, a balance, a client name, anything that should not have been on screen. It only shows on the stage while the playhead is inside its range.

Highlight

The opposite of blur: it dims the rest of the screen and spotlights one region. Good for holding attention on a form or a button while you explain it.

Images

Any PNG or JPG over the video, with size and rotation from the stage handles. This is how your brand mark gets in.
