Installing on macOS

Download the .dmg, drag it into Applications, and open the app the first time.

Fouvia Studio for Mac ships as a .dmg, the standard Apple install format. There are two things to do: drag the app into your Applications folder, and open it once in a specific way, explained below.

Download the installerOn the site, click the Mac download button. Fouvia-Studio-mac-arm64.dmg lands in your Downloads folder, at around 200 MB.
Open the .dmgDouble-click it. The disk image mounts and the install window opens, with the Fouvia icon on one side and a shortcut to Applications on the other.
Drag the icon into ApplicationsGrab the Fouvia Studio icon and drop it on the Applications folder. That copies the app where the system expects it. Running it straight from the .dmg, without copying, breaks permissions later on.
Eject the imageClose the window and click the eject button next to Fouvia Studio in the Finder sidebar. You can delete the .dmg from Downloads after that.

Opening it the first time

The first time, macOS says it could not verify the developer and offers to move the app to the Trash. That is neither malware nor a bad download: Fouvia is still in closed beta, and the app is signed with its own certificate rather than a paid Apple registration. The steps below are what Apple itself documents for opening an app like this.

Open your Applications folderIn Finder, click Applications in the sidebar and find Fouvia Studio.
Right-click the appOr hold Control and click. Choose Open from the menu. That is the whole trick: from the context menu macOS offers an open-anyway button that a normal double-click never shows.
Confirm in the dialogThe same alert comes back, this time with an Open button next to Cancel. Click it. From the second launch on, the app opens with a plain double-click like any other.

“Fouvia Studio” cannot be verified

Apple could not verify that this app is free of malware. It was signed by the developer with its own certificate.

With the app open, the next step is granting the system permissions. Without Screen Recording, the record button stays blocked.
