Saving and reopening projects
The .fouv file, auto-recovery, and getting back into an old edit.
A .fouv file is the whole editing project: the recorded media plus every adjustment. Open it again and you land exactly where you left off, on any computer with Fouvia installed.
Save with ⌘S or the save button at the top of the editor. When you close the editor, the app asks whether to save before going back to the recording bar.
Reopening
Three routes: double-click the .fouv file, use Open project file in the recording bar settings, or use the menu bar icon, which keeps a list of recent projects.
Auto-recovery
Fouvia auto-saves the edit in progress. If the app closes before you save, the next launch shows an unsaved-edit notice with the date and the recording length, and a Restore my edit button that opens the editor with everything you had done. Discard throws away only the adjustments: the recording itself is kept.
